Moose (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent iPhone application published by Tappa. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: your personal immigration details stay on your device.

Data you enter stays on your device

The applications, milestone dates, notes, and travel history you enter are stored locally on your iPhone (using Apple’s on-device storage). We do not have a server that receives or stores this information, and we cannot see it.

We never ask for IRCC credentials

Moose does not request, collect, or transmit your IRCC secure-account username or password, and it cannot access your government account. Official application status always lives on Canada.ca.

Public data the app downloads

To keep information current, Moose downloads public, non-personal planning data — such as Express Entry draw results, published processing-time ranges, and immigration news — from our content feed. These requests do not include your personal case details.

Notifications

If you opt in, Moose schedules local notifications (for example, milestone reminders or draw alerts) on your device. These are generated locally and are not tracked by us.

Analytics & tracking

Moose does not sell your data and does not use third-party advertising trackers. Any diagnostic information provided through Apple’s standard App Store mechanisms is aggregate and anonymous, and you can disable sharing in iOS Settings.

Children

Moose is intended for adults managing their own or their family’s immigration planning and is not directed at children under 13.

Deleting your data

You can clear all local data at any time in Settings → Clear all local data, or by deleting the app from your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
